MrKrispy
tank looks great, not a speck of algae! Have you had any problems with the frogspawn stinging stuff? (unless it was just moved also) Link to comment
jdsabin1
Beautiful tank . I love your coral placement and the very clean look of the tank. Those look like aquaprop zoos on the left. Is that where you got them from? Link to comment
Skin
Thanks for the great comments I appreciate them.. A couple of answers to some questions.. 1.. Algae... I did have a huge algae problem a couple months ago but I cut down on my light timing considerably and got some additional clean up crew (3 blue legged crabs, a few snails).. I also scraped all the algae off during water changes and rearranged rock that was affected so it was hitting lower levels of light. 2. Frogspawn I havn't had any problems with my frogspawn stinging anything... yet.. If you read my last post before this one I am planning on fragging my frogspawn .. I was going to do it last week but ran out of time.. (I was a little scared too).. It needs to be done and I did receive some instruction from fellow nano-reef members so i think I'll tackle it this week.. (and post pictures of the process) 3. Zoo's on the right.. Not aquaprop.. Just got them at my LFS in Socal.. I love em'... I was actually thinking about setting up a 5 gallon zoo only tank... would that be dumb??? I think it would be pretty cool.. I might as well throw a question out there.. I was thinking about getting rid of my pajama cardinal and getting a baby cow fish... (I saw one at the LFS that was about the size of my thumb.. I have a larger cow fish in my 60 gallon fish tank.. I've had him for 8 months and he doesn't seem to be growing extroardinarily fast.. any thoughts on that? Link to comment
Kirklan
I understand that cow fish grow quite big and when they are stressed can release a "toxin" that can harm the rest of the tank inhabitants. May not be a good idea in a nano. I agree that cow fish look cool. Link to comment
Kirklan
Oh yah, your tank looks great!! Any specs on the lighting and inhabitants. Link to comment
