AMcNeice
During the cycling process, is it nessecary to run my lights for 10-12 hours a day, or should 4-6 be enough? Thanks a ton! Link to comment
caja
Technically you don't need to run the lights at all during the cycling process. It's really a matter of preference, I've done both, cycle with lights on and with lights off and have found that the agae blooms are less with the no light cycle. Just my 2 pennies. Link to comment
Physh1
I prefer running zero lights or bare minimum (like hours or so) until it's cycled. Reason being cycle times tend to be nutrient rich and that will feed an algae bloom. Cajastan is right.... Cameron Link to comment
AMcNeice
Excellent. I think I'll go with no lights. Less Algae = good thing Thanks a ton! Link to comment
