southernfried Posted March 19, 2009 Share Posted March 19, 2009 I have a very modest 10x8.5x3.5 HOB fuge with live rock rubble and chaeto that I got up and running yesterday. Anyways, I had a hydor 300 pump and a microjet already available so I tried both of them. The hydor moves 79 gph at zero head and the microjet 75 gph at zero head. Firstly, the hydor is the noisiest thing I have ever used in a tank so that was quickly a no go. The microjet looks awful when connected right at the intake for the fuge, but when I moved it a foot down and connected it with flexible black tubing the flow was not nearly enough. So, anyone have any suggestions for an in tank pump that is quiet that could move in the 70-100 gph area at 1ft.? Link to comment
