cooljackal
I saw this thing a couple of days back. Since my tank is still cycling it seems to move about somtimes in the day and most of the time at night. It moves really fast on the rocks like a big ant. I cant take a picture because it moves quickly into a hole. Heres a drawing of what it seems to look like. The rear of it is a little bigger. Its really small so this is all the detail i could see. ~_~
Sounds like some type of Amphipod http://www.museum.vic.gov.au/crust/amphigal.html or Isopod http://www.museum.vic.gov.au/crust/isopogal.html Link to comment
caja
Yes, you have pods. Congratulations, a sign of a healthy tank. Isopods, amphipods and copepods. Perfectly normal and under stable tank conditions they will continue to survive and thrive. Link to comment
