what can i keep under 13 watts

mushrooms (discosoma type), maybe some yellow polyps (supplemental feeding), macroalgae, maybe some green star polyps (depending on distance from light).

 

the corals may brown a bit to compensate for the lower light (i.e. more symbiont algae). feeding helps supplement the sugars produced from photosyn but can easily pollute our smallish systems.

 

keep the tank near/in sunlight. low-budget or high-budget tanks can always take advantage of free light. ;) non-photosynthetics can do with low light obviously but are typically more difficult. if you can get more light (of the right spectrum) i would recommend it. don't try to force the livestock to try to adapt too much as it is stressful. good luck!
