NanoBound
I am not sure if it is ok to do this or not, so I am asking for your opinions. I have about 5 lbs of rubble rock that I donot want to put into my main display tank(55 gl.) So what I was wondering is can I put it into my sump( which has 5 gl. water in it at all times) without having to put lighting on it? Will it die or would it be best to put a small 50/50 28 watt light on it that I have left over. I'd prefer not to use the light at this point in time until I can get some dividers in the sump to make it a refugium/sump. Thanks in advance eveyone!! Link to comment
caja
Nan, I tossed a pice of fiji branch in my unlit sump area. I had tons of q-tip sponges and dusters growing on there. Link to comment
NanoBound
Great, gonna give it a try. I broke down the 10gl. and built up the existing 55gl. into a reef tank. Now I know I am hooked...lol !! Now just to get alot more corals without the hubby know what they cost...hehehe!!! I love the fragging idea, so I am in the process of setting up some hanging frag plates on both ends of the tank. Already have a few frags started for future trade. Link to comment
