Corals under 2x32W lighting?

I am currently using 2x32w (1000k + Actinc) from CSL, what kind fo croals I can keep under this lighting, my tank is 5 gal minibow.

 

BTW, what are those SPS, ...... (many abbrev. term for corals)? What are they stand for?

 

I have yellow polyp in my tank now.

other ones that will help ya....

 

LPS = large polyps stonies like torch, hammer, frogspawn

softies = leather corals like fingers, colt, etc

zoos = zooanthids (very hot deal right now)

c'mon crak, you should give him more than softies in there. LPS are fine as well as Monitpora. There are other sps that will work, but water quality, flow, feeding as well as placement will play big part in what you can have.

I wasn't saying he should put any sps in there.

 

however, given the twin 32's, he could probably do monti's, pocillopora possibly (say that 3 times fast), many lps and an acro might fare fairly (alliteration king!) if placed very high up towards the light but I wouldn't risk it.

Can you say "rapid tissue necrosis" three frags fast? I know you can. I agree with you on the acros, with the exception of possibility a youngei. My acros have not had that spectacular of growth under 300w of VHO in the 20. Okay but nothing to write crak about. Two PC's without attention to water quality could prove fatal.
