thetaylors
Whats a good place to pick up a light to work for my sump fuge. Its going in a 15 gal glass tank so its 12" wide water will probably be 8-10" deep with macro and rubble. Link to comment
reefdan
i use the $20 reading light (full spectrum) from home depot. it grows cheato like crazy and the bulb's been going a year strong (probably due for a swap but still grows macroalgae). Link to comment
thetaylors
I see people using those type lights, I was concerned about the moisture/salt creep getting into it. Link to comment
fickle1
Here is a light that I have been looking at for my 20T sump. It is kinda pricy, but I don't like the look of the typical clip on bulbs. Link to comment
thetaylors
think this one may be in the lead for me http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...bayphotohosting Link to comment
fickle1
think this one may be in the lead for me http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...bayphotohosting The only thing I worry about with that light is the bulb. It is 50/50. I think you need something closer to daylight for a fuge light. The one I linked is 6700k which is a full spectrum. Link to comment
thetaylors
I agree the 6700 is ideal but I have grown macro tons under 10k in my aquafuge due to the 6700 bulb blowing out and only being able to get a 10k. I will ask them if they have any options in bulbs if i decide to go that way Link to comment
