pimp4cheddar Posted March 2, 2009 Share Posted March 2, 2009 Hey folks, I'm still new to the world of skimming and I recently brought a Remora C (HOB SKIMMER). I also purchased the Surface Skimmer box. In three days, the collection cup was full and almost flowing back into the skimmer. This thing pulls some serious skim! My question is...I noticed that depending on the position of the cup...it may produce bubbles easier. For you Remora owners...how high do you position your collection cup? Thanks, Link to comment
BKtomodachi Posted March 2, 2009 Share Posted March 2, 2009 After a break-in period for my regular remora, I had the cup ~1/2 way elevated. On my nano remora, it is most of the way down. It also depends on the air injection adjustment (white screw on the inside of the intake tube). Link to comment
thetaylors Posted March 3, 2009 Share Posted March 3, 2009 you want to move it up and wait for a day, and see how its producing, you want a good dryish foam coming out the top. where the cup goes also depends on the pump you use, the stronger pumps will have the cup higher Link to comment
