How often do you add stuff to your tank?

On average how often do you chanage or add stuff to your tank.. Do you wait a week or so to let new items get used to the enviorment before buying new stuff, or add whenever in the mood/ possible.

I add "stuff" on a monthly basis.

1 fish a month. execpt for things like a pair of clowns. I am not as careful with corals and inverts... I have added one or two corals a week when I first started stocking the tank.

Agreed: corals don't have much of an impact on your system, as they aren't waste-producing like fish/inverts. That is, unless it's a softie and ticked off, (leather slime, etc.)

 

I move/add/remove corals all the time between my tanks and with other reefers. Fish are should be much more widely spaced, so that the nitrifying bacteria can adjust to the bigger workload of the additional waste.

 

No problem adding snails/hermits, IMO either.
