No need to use this...you don't want floss or ceramic cubes...

just set up a refugium and you are good to go.....depending on your tank size... just use a AC70 or 110... or one of those refugium boxes from www.aquatraders.com or the CPRs.....

Here is a question about the HOB as refugium, and perhaps it is better placed in the filtration forum, but I can't get my tank temp stabilized with my heater in the HOB. I've used an AC70 and an AC20. In neither case can I get the tank temp to stay within a one or two point temperature swing from lights out to morning. The lights heat up the tank and it stays around 78.5, but by morning the temp has dropped to about 74.5. If I turn the heater up the temp with the lights on gets over 80. Any suggestions? I really love running the AC HOB filter and would like to pull the heater out of the tank, but it's in there because it's the only place the temp will stay stable. Thanks in advance.
