Vroooom Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 i got 29 gal tank with t5 lighning its a reef tank ok i was runing this filter system pic bellow now i got tunze nano reef pack 200Tunze you thing if would remove the first one, would Tunze would be enough with adding carbon and ceramic rings in it this is the first one the link and the pic wet and dry filter Link to comment

Matty1124 Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 they are just old school... no one uses bio balls and ceramic rings in salt water any more... they are more trouble then they are worth (they trap deterius, and dont have enough area to really be effective in biological filtration)... and the tunze reefpack is a great skimmer... i think your better off using your reef pack for something like carbon and filter floss or carbon and phosban/ROWA... thats just my .02 Link to comment
