Milky water after Kalkwasser?

LadyClown

Recommended Posts

I finally bought kalkwasser to raise my Ca levels. I added the powder to the gallon of RO water, let it sit all night, then I puored the top layer of water in my dripped and dripped it in the fuge. It took all morning for 1/2 gal to drip in the fuge.

Now I have milky water though. How come? Is it the Ca water, or what is it?

how do I fix it? (i just added a 10 g fuge to my 10 g tank, so 50% of the water is new).

it seemed better this morning before I left home. I checked my Ca levels though and they're undetectables (with the Red Sea kit)

anyone used this kit? Or has suggestions? pls...

i've read that Salifert is the best, but i haven't been able to find it local as they're all out. looks like online is the only source for now.

Salifert is def the best Ca kit.......you might also post your other parameters. Alkalinity has a profound effect on Calcium solubility in SW........Therefore, you might have such low Alk that your Kalk is "crashing" out of solution.
