smashbeat
Hi, I want to add an HOB skimmer to my BC 14 (Remora Nano). I've seen some pics on the forum like on this thread: http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=169600 I'm running chamber 2 as a fuge with cheto and I'm happy with that. To keep the algae where it is I was thinking about installing the skimmer with one "leg" sitting in ch3 (the intake one with the pump) and the other "leg" (the return from the Skimmer) sitting in ch2. This way I will have more room in ch2 because the skimmer's pump is in the other chamber and I will avoid the difficult relationship of pump and algae in the same place. Does it make any sense? Another question to Remora and BC14 owners: there will be enought space to put some filter floss (on BC tray or some egg crate) below the Remora return in ch2? Thanks! Link to comment
disaster999
nothing wrong with intake in one chamber, and output in another chamber. i did the same thing with my remora on my custom AIO tank. i would watch out for the water level as it is not constant in the 3rd chamber. Link to comment
smashbeat
Thanks for the reply! I'm planning to add an ATO soon, so I think it will reduce that problem in ch 3. I just ordered the Remora Nano with a MJ 1200. Cant wait... Link to comment
