Deleted User 6
I'm wanting to put this behind my foam rock wall in my tank flowing out into the tank ~ 9 gallons. Will the 1200 be too much flow? Link to comment
Deleted User 6
Guess I should mention that I plan to keep everything from softies to SPS to a clam on down the line. Link to comment
121a
IMO if that is your only flow you need more, especially for sps. Link to comment
tyty22
go with the mj900 it has a better watt to gph ratio compared to the mj1200. but if i were you i would use a koralia or some kind of wave pump rather than a pressure pump like the mj's i have a mj1200 in my 20 long and it puts out too much pressure flow but when i turn it off and just use my koralia nano it provides a nice gentle flow through out the whole tank. redfishsc
I'd rather have a Koralia Nano than my MJ1200. It's way too much flow for any one spot in my 10g, but not enough flow for being spread out around my tank. Link to comment
R-nel
Yeah its not gonna be enough flow for that 9gal. I have an 8 gal with a 5gal sump I'm using the mj1200 for the return and its not enough. Link to comment
Kraylen
Really? MJ1200 destroyed my sandbed in my standard 10g. Link to comment
SnakPak
I'm curious about this as well. I was planning on using it for a return in my 20 gal long and supplementing it with a Koralia. Link to comment
