akula
I bought a 30 gal tank set up today at a garage sale. it came with a Hagen 802 power head. I have been told this is a 400gph pum and that seems to be too big. is it too big? it can be slowed down with an internal dial ut I dont know if it may be better to sell/trade this away for something smaller. my intention is to have a basic FOWLR, nothing fancy. akula
ok. Im going to test it in the bath tub and see how much the adjustment collar can control it. now I need to find a bracket for it. I would prefer a bracket that hangs over the frame rather than with suction cups. any brand name sugestions for a bracket? Link to comment
mattie
oh it only mounts with a suction cup I would trade it sell it or use occasionally to blow the dust off the live rock acuaclear make great power heads that are adj and come with a adj clip for hang on frame as for the bracket you can check if hagen has a web site Link to comment
blk_g20
or you can keep it and use it for salt mixing, and keep it as a backup for emergencies Link to comment
