I was going to go with Ushio but now I'm seeing a lot of these "XM" bulbs and don't know much about them. Does anyone know if there's been any comparisons between brands? Thanks Link to comment

Will you have actinic supplemention? 6500k bulbs are best for growth, lacking on coloration. 20000k are best for color, but slower on growth. 10000k are or should be a good white with a possible hint of blue (AB, BLV) and are good all around for growth but generally need actinic supplementation. xm is a hellolights Brand name. it comes in 20k abd 10k. Ushio have a good par rating. Go to the Advanced Aqaurist website and do a search for Sanjay. The guy writes some very informative articles. Link to comment
