hugorsf
I'm setting up a new nano reef and i want some advices because it'll be my first salt water aquarium. (i have some other aquariums bur anyone is salt water). Follow the set-up that i want (i guess ): - 14G aquarium. - 5x15W PC bulbs (Is ok?) - Pair of clown fish (percula or similar) (probably another other fishes later, but now just one pair) - Some coral(s) (i want the clowns to interface with it, so it as to be a coral that clowns can adopt. Any idea?) - LiveRock for natural filtration. (How much?) - Aragamax/LiveSand (How much?) - Cleanup Crews (Need help) - Shrimp (Need help) I think this is all, for now. Can you help me, please? Any ideas will help me. Thanks! Link to comment
Beholder
Hi, I had very similar types of questions before I started my tank. Go to the information section of this site, and READ. Read everything. Then, have a cup of coffee and re-read it. After that, come back here and ask questions, otherwise you stand the chance of getting flamed to death!!! Good luck. Link to comment
seabass
• Don’t plan on putting more than the mated pair of percs in there • Don’t plan on your percs adopting a host, they might not and will be fine without one • You’ll want just over 20lbs of LR • I recommend a 1” to 1.5” sand bed • For a cleanup crew consider: Scarlet Reef hermits, a Blue Leg hermit, Nassarius snails, and Cerith snails • A Fire shrimp is cool Link to comment
dharned
Read this line of posts and follow the link about mated clownfish pairs: http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...&threadid=18138 It should help alot. I agree that adding a third fish is pushing the limit... if you do, how about a neon or a small goby?? Link to comment
