Fishy_Fun Posted January 11, 2009 Share Posted January 11, 2009 So im going to buy one that i can connect to the faucet and use then store till next time.I was wondering is there something i should do?Maybe clean it,dry it out.Then i heard about flushing, do you have to do that before or after every use or both?Im really confused as you can see about RODI systems.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks Link to comment
The Propagator Posted January 11, 2009 Share Posted January 11, 2009 DO NOT dry it out or clean any thing other then the exterior. If your only letting it sit a week or so just cap the lines and it will be fine. any longer then that then you'll want to remove your membrane, place it in an air tight plastic bag and throw it in the fridge. If you don't mold will eat it alive and you will ruin your membrane by letting it sit long term in the unit. Back flushing before storing it long term like that is definitely a recommended thing to do. Your carbon block "should" be ok dry but I am not so sure about the sediment blocks ? Link to comment
