They should have a maintenance schedule on the side. The OP is setting up for a cycle so if need be now would be OK to use that water. But in the future I do recommend making your own. BLoCkCliMbeR Posted January 7, 2009 Share Posted January 7, 2009 ok lets say 1.50 a gal..... x 34 ------------- 51.00 + tax for your first purchase...... then 5 to 10 gal water changes at 7.50 to 15.00 a week for water changes w/ 52 weeks in a year its 390.00 to 780.00 spent in water for a year... an RO/DI unit is only 100-200 depending on the model....check out air and ice they got one for 110.... !some one check my math!
