divecj5
I am looking to get either an AC 70 or 110 to act as a fuge for my 20H. It says on various websites that the unit is 6 inches deep but I'm wondering how much clearance is actually needed behind the tank. I'm assuming that the 6" includes the portion of the filter that hangs over the lip of the tank. Just trying to save myself from buying it and it not fitting properly. Can anyone tell me how much clearance is needed say from the tank to a wall? Thanks in advance. Link to comment

r20crazy
let me measure my 110, also have a 70..... 110: ~13.75" long ( actually a bit over 13.5" OD), 8.5" high(w/o lid), 4.5" deep (and that with the tallest 'spacer out') subract about 0.50" if you use the smallers spacer(have small tank lip) Link to comment
divecj5
Thanks guys. I just picked up an AC 70 after seeing the posts and it fits perfectly. Works like a champ and will be perfect for some chaeto. Link to comment

Still, the AC70 is a good size for a hob 'fuge Link to comment
