blk_g20 Posted September 21, 2003 Share Posted September 21, 2003 i got a fighting conch yesterday. after drip acclimating it for several hours, i placed it into my tank. this morning, it was still in the same spot. fearing it was dead, i flipped it over with a dowel stick. it wasn't dead and flipped itself over. are these guys active and roams around? mine is still at the same spot. He's stayed put for 2 or 3 days at a time too. Come to think about it, I have 2 in my tank and I haven't seen the little one for a week or so. A lot of time they burrow in the sand for days or months at a time. anyways, as long as he oved I wouldn't worry about it too much. Link to comment
serjuanca88 Posted September 22, 2003 Share Posted September 22, 2003 When I first got mine they didnt move for a few days, but after a week or so they were moving around at lightning speed. You've never lived until you have seen your conch do flips to get across the tank. Link to comment
