Xanareef
Is it stopping because of buildup on axle? In the literature that came with my biowheel, is states that as it becomes saturated with bacteria it may become sluggish or even stop at times. However, if it's the axle that's stopping it then you need to clean it. I havn't had problems with mine yet. Link to comment
caja
You really don't want the biowheel in there anyway. Just toss it. If you do a search for biowheel you'll find tons of posts regarding the debate about biowheels. Here's a good one to start with. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...hlight=biowheel Link to comment
Nemo2
I took the bio wheel out as of last night but I am not sure if it's the Bio wheel OR the filter that is messed up. Well, if it happens again, I am definitely getting a new filter/pump. Anyone know what is good for the Esclipe six? Link to comment
msf
With LR and LS you don't need a filter... Just a small powerhead. But if you want to continue using the biowheel (not recommended) make sure the small bering is not missing. Link to comment
caja
If you want to get rid of the stock filter just pick up an HOB and use a dremel on the back of the hood to carve out a space for the filter to hang. Super easy. Link to comment
tommy
When i had my 6, i bought an aquaclear mini. Worked much better than the eclipse filter-plus no biowheel. Link to comment
