reefer123 Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 u could even make one if u wanted. thats wut i am doin for my tank and with a few mods, ANY skimmer can become a beast and pull out some nast sludge. just find something simple and inexpensive, and mod it till it suits ur fancy. i hav a cpr bak pak currently, but i did a mesh mod to the maxi jet. and i put a medium sized airstone in the bottom of it and it seriously pulls. Whacked Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 I would do a search on 28 JBJ and see what skimmer those people are using. Make a list. Research each skimmer and find as many reviews as possible. Then make a desision. There realy isnt a 'best' skimmer, or best pump, or best light, or best anything really. It all amounts to what the needs are. Every tank is different so one item may be absolutely stellar for one person is total junk for another. Link to comment
Dakota569 Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 Aqua C remora for a hang on type, Reef Octopus , Tunze 9002 for in sump or back chamber .. all in the $150-$200 range... or the Deltec (very nice but a little more expensive) Those would be your most likely choices for a good small skimmer Link to comment
