Stuff I've Observered in 2 months

1. Royal Gramma is a horrible first fish choice.

Why? It hide all of the time and when a newbie lets forgets to turn the AC on and you kill the fish you can't tell because the damn thing hides all the time anyway.

 

2. Feeding DT's really seemed to help the Pod, Feather Duster and Sponge population explode in a week.

 

3. Buy a Digital themometer from Radio Shack, they are for hot tubs and pools, and they work great. I actually know how far off the crappy glass thermometers are off now.

 

4. Run a HOB and use a baster to get all the crap off your rocks.

 

5. Boiling water seems to be great at destroying anemonies around the tank.

 

6. Local groups are great for finding great frags at amazing prices. Try 11 different types of softies for $40 bucks.

 

7. Everytime I look at my tank I see something new, just try watching the same little section of rock each day and you'll see something new everytime.

 

8. When your crabs looks dead, its just molted. You didn't have one die and a new one magically appear.

 

Thanks for making these boards so awesome. I have learned more and had more fun with my nano then I ever thought possible.

 

I should be getting a camera to take pictures and list my spec next tuesday.
