ro unit to fast?

so it says it can make 25 gallons a day, so thats a little over a gallon a hour, but its making 5 gallons in about 3 1/2 hours, is there something wrong with it?

generally it's variable depending on the temperature of the water and how much pressure is going through it, and how old the membrane is. remember that the waste output and clean water output is generally 4-5 to 1. check the the tds of the output, if its <10, more power to you.

sounds like you didn't seat the membrane properly. make sure it's pushed in all the way, you should feel a "click" or a "pop" when the two gaskets seal properly.
