Jefe12234 Posted November 12, 2001 Share Posted November 12, 2001 I got an idea for a miniature algal turf scrubber after seeing a new product called the eco-wheel. Pics can be seen here. Could you take a power filter that has a bio-wheel in it, remove the covering of the bio-wheel that the bacteria would normally grow on, and replace it with a mesh like fiberglass window screening? This surface would get surges of water and air as the wheel rotates just like an ATS. Excellent for nutrient export. Think it would work? -Chris Link to comment
