Ytouf
I'm looking for a bulb for a Viaaqua 380 tank which has a 12" tube flouresent bulb. What can I do to add better lighting? Link to comment
OxInYourBox
I'm pretty sure that the Alife AquaLux 27W 50/50 bulb meets this. I'm at work so I can't get an exact measurement for you off the bulb itself but it should work. Personally I'd go with a 70w HQI setup. There are a couple threads around on how to do it relatively cheaply. Link to comment
Ytouf
But if I can just swap out bulbs that works much easier! Any URL's? Link to comment
OxInYourBox
If you want to swap out bulbs you can goto your LFS and they will have a 50/50 NO Flourescent bulb that will fit. You can get away with low light corals with that depending on the tank depth. I wouldn't expect to keep any awesome colors or clams in the tank though. Link to comment
BoB_SaGeT
i have the exact same tank (AR 380) and i rang commodity axis and they said they do not make actinic bulbs or 50/50 bulbs for this tank. It is a freshwater tank and is not designed for saltwater. But apparently some people have put 32w smartlife retrofits into the hood. Link to comment
Jahkaya
28/32 watt PC's are 12 inches and change. don't know if you can retro fit that in the 4g though. No bulbs that I know of that you can just swap out though. Link to comment
