appsgang43
Every morning my ph is down to 7.8 and now about 8 hours later it is 8.4. Any idea what might be causing this? Link to comment
lakshwadeep
That's normal. The reason is that, after the lights are off, the photosynthetic organisms (algae) aren't converting carbon dioxide produced in the tank into oxygen, and dissolved carbon dioxide lowers the pH. Link to comment

This won't hurt my corals? I am having a hard time with my polyps opening. Link to comment

Phixion
Type of zoas doesn't matter. But not sure why they wouldn't be opening other than stress perhaps. Link to comment
