My alk is 7 but my ph is 8.4, how do I raise the alk without raising my ph?

add unbaked baking soda. small amounts. will cause a small increase in pH that should go away.

 

funny, i have the opposite problem, low pH and high ALK

Something else to consider doing is a mixture of 4 parts baking soda to 1 part baked baking soda. Mixes to a pH of ~8.2

As already mentioned, use Arm and hammer baking soda. ( not powder...SODA )

Ok I didn't do anything with the baking soda and this morning my ph is 7.8. I think the reason I am having so much trouble with my Zoa's is a ph swing. I don't have any idea how to stop it.
