I've got two Rio90's in my 5.5 gallon tank. They seem to be doing fine, but they would be pretty terrible as returns because they're so small. I have no idea how their bigger pumps are in terms of function or reliability or whatever.

I have used rio pumps for years and am very happy with them. They are very quiet and they move a lot to water compared to their size.

I have a Rio 6 hyper flow in my AP24 (rated at 300+ gph) and this thing moves some water. I should have bought one that moves less water because this thing moves so much that I had to remove another grate from my tank so the water in the front and back can be level or equal. Quiet and strong with good build quality and Vivid Aquariums uses it in alot of their display tanks to boot! I recommend even though many others use maxi jets and the like in theirs.
