Integracer Posted September 15, 2003 Share Posted September 15, 2003 I noticed today that 4 of my blue leg hermits were all in 1 corner of my tank. One hermit was digging another out of his shell while the other one apeared to be holding his shell to prevent escape? Is this normal? Are they fighting, mating or something? Separated them but this is the second time I have noticed them picking on eachother. Will they kill eachother? Link to comment
SeaMountain Posted September 15, 2003 Share Posted September 15, 2003 Not too worry mine did the same thing. I just renamed them Crakeur, Winter, Trig and Fly. I wouldn't exactly call it mating what these guys do, but along that line anyway. You might video tpae them and then sell the tape online as 'Hermit Fights' as an option to the highly acclaimed 'Bum Fighting' series. Just drop a few extra shells in there - empty ones - and let nature take it's course and the strong shall survive. And yeah... Some of mine killed off the others... weaklings anyway.
