nanofish36
I was ready to install my new Viper MH on a 14g Oceanic biocube. I am going to need a glass top right? If so are there are glass tops made for this size tank? Link to comment
Detritus07
you don't need a glass top if you dont get fish that jump. The glass lens should have uv protection Link to comment
nanofish36
I will only add coral to this tank at first. I am not going heavy with fish! I was thinking of a glass top in order to be safe with such a high powered light. Link to comment
Scott Riemer
Glass top will just trap in heat. Link to comment
xbwolfx
as stated, the glass on your viper is the only glass needed. Link to comment
nanofish36
Thank you everyone for your help. I know having a stronger light will give me more choices of corals. Link to comment
nanofish36
New Viper MH now set up, ready for corals. I always wanted to try one of these lights over a tank. What a nice wave pattern they create! Link to comment
MR.FEESH
If you're ever still concerned you can make a lid real quick out of mesh or window screen that won't trap heat and will prevent anything from getting out. Tons of ppl here have done it, look around if you want and you'll find some good ideas. Link to comment
