ac70 help

i have an ac70 and bought the ac20 impeller for reduced flow. the ac20 impeller works but the thing is, its loud as hell. can anyone with the ac70 and ac20 impeller help me out?

Well, I can tell you what I did for reduced flow. I took the AC70 impeller and cut into the teeth, maybe half way. This reduced the flow to, estimation, around 80-120 gph. Nice and slow for my fuge.

 

 

If its loud, it might be the impeller is not balanced in the slot it goes into.

damn i think i know why its so loud now. i may have bought the wrong impeller, the one for the ac201 powerhead. this is the one: here

i already screwed up the ac70 impeller trying to cut it down. lol. i need the ac20 impeller, but i think i bought the wrong one. i cant find where to buy the ac20 impeller

ac70 is 8.5 x 11 x 6.5 inches

 

it fits on a standard 2.5g Perfecto tank
