Quash
Can you begin a cycle without a heater? and then add the heater after a week or two, my temp seems to hover around the 80 range. Link to comment
qchapter
Not suggested, but possible if the temp in your tank is stable around 80. -Kevin Link to comment
Physh1
if you temp is stable somewhere between 70 and 80, like it sounds like it is, you'll be fine waiting. Cameron Link to comment
zizmans
I would highly suggest not starting a tank if you do not have 30$ for a heater Link to comment
Quash
Well i have a heater, but temp seems to be pretty stable, so i dunno if i should put it in, turn it off, or just wait for it to get cold up in texas Link to comment
Quash
but then again, i just started today so... prolly will have to Link to comment
MidiMouse
Just put the heater in. What do you have to lose? If it's warm enough it'll shut off, if it gets too cold it'll turn on. Then you'll be sure that the temp will be more stable. -Lam Link to comment
