viejito55
I normally turn the tank lights on in the morning, but the room is a bit dark in the morning does this shock the fish and corals? Link to comment
MarLooney
Need more info... what type of lights? watts? color? It's good to slowly brighten the lights if at all possible. I start with the room lights for atleast 10minutes, then actinic 1hr, then daylight PC 1hr, then both till it's time to run the whole cycle in reverse at night. If you can't do something like this you might want to invest in a timer. So basically to answer your question... yes, it shocks them just as it does to us... more gradual lighting = less stress.
