bobafet1
I've been out of the loop for a while and so I know how quickly things change. I just wanted to know what is currently the most efficient return pump for a nano reef of about 40 gallons? I'm looking for something with a low heat transfer. Thanks Link to comment

bobafet1
what kind of flow are you looking for I'm looking for some decent flow. I figured I'd set up the return with some loc lines and a SCWD. I'm trying to set it up so that I don't have powerheads sticking out everywhere. Link to comment
jeremai
Nothing much has changed with magnetic drive pumps. Look at the specs from the manufacturer - the higher the wattage used, the more heat the pump will generate (and transfer to the water around it). For the least heat transfer, look at plumping in an external pump, from Pan World, etc. Link to comment
