longra
Sorry, no pics. I've gotta get me another cool toy ... digital camera. One of my live rocks has iridescent green things growing out of it. They're now about 1/2 inch long, they're shaped a little like a thin finger, they have a fuzz around them and they're growing out and are pointing down! There are three of them spaced about an inch apart (not clustered). Any ideas? Thanks, Link to comment
Gilman
Is it like anything in this photo? Gil Link to comment
caja
If it looks like what Gil posted then it's neomeris annulata. Link to comment
longra
It does look like it (the one on the right, that is). I've done a web search, but don't find much. What is it and how does it benefit my aquarium? Link to comment

They are a calcium based Macro Algae that will not hurt your tank at all. Some people actually like the looks of them. I just let them grow wherever they happen to show up in our tank.
