drsmallwood
I just need some confirmation that green cromis are typically eratic fish. They are so wild and fractous that we have taken to namimg them after Gale and Evell, the brothers in "Raising Arizona". It is typical to see them swimming up and down like roller costers. They will eat at the surface with no food around. One of them has been seen swimming sideways and making wild twisting motions. This afternoon they were acting friendly to each other, almost mating. Then I look back and their lip fighting. Im used to tropical freshwater fish. Every thing Gale and Evell do would lead me to believe they are ill or stressed. They have good color and eat frozen brine like there is no tomorrow. Any re-assurance would be welcome. David Link to comment
maroonclown
How many do you have? They might be acting like that if they aren't in a school. I wouldn't worry about them. They're almost impossible to kill. Yeah, their behavior is very eratic. Link to comment
drsmallwood
I have two. My plans are to move them in about 9 months to a much larger system (50 gal). Currently I also have a purple fire goby, cleaner shrimp, emerald crab, and 5 blue leg hermits. Also the ubiquitious LR and LS. Thanks for letting me know they are generally eratic. MarLooney
That's not normal at all. I heard they do better in odd numbers. Don't know how true this is but it seemed to work when I tried it. Try going for 3 or 5. Link to comment
drsmallwood
Thanks. I like the number 3 better anyways. David Link to comment
