300ZX Posted November 1, 2008 Share Posted November 1, 2008 i have an aqua-safe ro/di unit that i've been using for about 1.5 years now, i have never replaced anything on it yet what stuff should i replace on it? di resin? membrane? http://www.buckeyefieldsupply.com/showprod...howspecials=149 is this tds meter any good for $18.95? http://www.buckeyefieldsupply.com/showprod...=40&Sub=127 will the single refill be enough for my aqua-safe unit? or should i get the 5lbs what else should i replace other than that? thanks Link to comment
zippykat Posted November 2, 2008 Share Posted November 2, 2008 the di resin should be replaced every 3-6 months depending on your usage of the filter. I recommend the color changing di resin from bulkreefsupply.com...it is a great indicator when the resin should be replaced. all of the other filters except the membrane should be replaced every 6 months-1yr, again depending on your usage of the filter. If you keep these 'pre'filters changed out on the regular basis the 'membrane' filter part should last your 2-3yrs before it needs replacing. the di resin is usually sold in single use packages...only buy what you are going to use in 1yrs time otherwise it starts to go bad Link to comment
