brown stuff on bottom of tank

i have brown on the bottom of of my tank I have had it since december

and its been cycled and now this stuff is back

why?

what do I do?

Have you been feeding any filter feeding foods? How’s your bio-load? Check your levels including phosphates and nitrates.

 

??? Maybe you should consider increasing the size and/or frequency of your water changes (or possibly even add a skimmer).

describe the "brown": gooey, stringy(dinoflagellates), flat mat (diatoms), reddish (cyano), dusty (detritus)anywhere else in the tank (like the glass, rocks?)

 

Have you had the tank since december or the brown stuff or both?

 

What type of livestock?

 

What are you feeding?

I have that too X) , its like brown algae, my hermits like to eat it off the glass where they can reach, it grows everywhere... X) :x
