sukeband
This guy has been on my LR since the begining. Saw him on the glass today but I'd leave it up to the experts as to what it is. Each blurry tick on the tape measure is 1/32 of an inch, making him about 15/32 of and inch long. Link to comment
BlackSumbel
I'm almost positive that this is a Cerith snail. -Sumbel Link to comment
tow-up
doesn't look like a conch to me...i dunno about the cerith either. the shell is pretty pointy at the end. i have a few of those also. they dont seem to harm anything. Link to comment
reefdamsel
looks to me like a Pacific cerith snail. The cortez ceriths have darker shells. there's a picture of both kinds on one of the sponsor's websites. justphish, I think. Link to comment
NanoBound
I donot believe it is a cerith snail, but a florida auger. Check out the 2 links below and you will see what I mean. http://www.seashells.org/seashells/floridaauger.htm http://www.reefcorner.com/SpecimenSheets/c...cerithSnail.htm Link to comment
Bucket o Chum
That looks like a Pyramidellid snail. It is a parasite of giant clams. Link to comment
