crrichey
Has anyone used this? A lfs here in Phoenix carries these and I wouldn't mind trying it out. Link to comment
er1c_the_reefer
i dunno, but it sure does look like a fission nano skimmer jammed into a HOB filter. skilter comes to mind. Link to comment
crrichey
Also interested in this light for a 5 gallon. It has 12 white and 12 blue LEDs. 10 inches long and 1inch in diameter, however it is only 7 watts total... It just looks so cool! Link to comment
er1c_the_reefer
probably not going to be enough for 5 gallons unless you're keeping nonphotosynthetics and very low light corals, e.g. mushrooms and brown zoanthids Link to comment
redfishsc
i dunno, but it sure does look like a fission nano skimmer jammed into a HOB filter. skilter comes to mind. +10000000 The lid on the cup looks to be an exact clone of the Nano Fission skimmer. If that's the case and it has the same throat and reaction chamber, it's a piece of crap. The throat on a Nano Fission is grossly too short, doesn't give you a good distance to generate a medium-wet skim. I have one, and modified it to work, but it's a PITB so I don't bother using it. tike
I wouldn't even bother with a skimmer on a 5 gallon tank. Weekly 10% water changes will be much easier. Link to comment
crrichey
I am aware that it really isn't needed on such a small tank. However I am interested in nano technology. Link to comment
tike
Okay.......That skimmer looks pretty crappy to me. Have you looked at Remoras? Link to comment
