reefsrule
My tank is finally finished cycling, I checked my water levels and they came out fine. One thing, my tank is still covered in brown algea. When I scrap it off, it comes back. I have purchased distilled water and have been doing my water changes with it ever since. I have one red legged herrmit and one snail in my five gallon. Question is, should I wait for this aglea to go away to add corals, or is it okay for the corals? The diatoms should go away soon after the water changes, right?:| Link to comment
Physh1
You can add corals. Your also gonna want to be looking for more of a cleanup crew soon (crabs and snails). I have to ask how long you have your lights on for? Usually 8-12 hours a day is all you need and excess will just cause algae issues. Cameron Link to comment

reefsrule
My timer is supposed to be set to 8am to 8pm, but I haven't got it set up yet, so it may have been longer, thanks. Link to comment
