syaeger
I read a lot of posts about corraline algae and that it's good for it to grow in the tank. What are the benefits of having it? What exactly is it and can you post a photo of it? 10 Gal Nano Link to comment

phishhead
I don't think that link worked. Sorry. If you look at some of the pic's in the member's tanks section or in the photo gallery it is the clumps of reds and pinks growing on the live rock and the glass. It also turns different colors like green, orange, brown or any mix of the above. Also, you could go to www.thesea.org and go the "the farms" they have pic's of the coraline they have for sale. It's really pretty stuff asthetically but also it's nice b/c it signals that the calcium level is where it needs to be in your tank. JB Link to comment
Xanareef
I like coraline, because it's the only spots on my glass that doesn't get covered in algae film. Link to comment
