douglask
I keep hearing that people with salt water tanks are using power heads. I have a Eclipse 6 which has a built in pump that moves ~75 gallons per hour. Is the benefit of using a power head that it moves more water then that, or does it create a different kind of current, etc? I'm trying to figure out if my existing pump and current is good enough, or if I do need something else. Thanks! Link to comment
kennerd
The eclipse hood in this size tank should actually be fine, provided: 1. You have enough room for your lighting needs. I removed my filtration on the 6 mantis tank (actually a Galaxy 5: re-branded eclipse tank for Wal-Mart) to fit my 2x13 PC's better. 2. You remove the bio wheel. Using the included pump/return is nice, since it frees up real estate in the tank. Link to comment
