zibnata Posted September 4, 2003 Share Posted September 4, 2003 I am setting up a 6 gallon tank. I am putting in 10 lbs live argonite,10 lbs cured live rock.Can I take water from my 55 gallon ( when I do a water change) and fill the 6 gallon to aviod cycle ? Link to comment

Ekawaguchi Posted September 5, 2003 Share Posted September 5, 2003 I'm no expert, but I would only do that if your 55 gal is a reef tank / or if you know that that tank is copper-free. I use copper in my 75 FO tank, wouldn't want any of that copper getting transferred to a reef tank. Link to comment
