WindCloudWRX
I'm planning on running a bare bottom 2 feet cube tank, so sand disruption is not an issue. I want to just get 1 pump and be done for. The tunze stream 2 6065 caught my attention and is listed @ about 1700 gph. That'd be about 28 x turn over. Thing is, my tank is 2 feet all around. Would it be over kill? Thanks. Link to comment
The Propagator
Definitely. I think you would end up blasting the water out and substrate of your tank Link to comment
xenon
The question is do you need that much flow. What types of corals do you plan to keep? If I had to run a single powerhead it would be the Vortech MP40. The undertow flow that powerhead provides cant be matched by a traditional powerhead like the Tunze nanostreams. I vote for two Tunze 6055 on a controller . Link to comment
WindCloudWRX
On a very tight budget. I don't want too much pumps due to aesthetics and more so the heat. I've heard the vortechs being a bit more on the 'noisy' side though. *I don't have any substrate. It's going to be a mixed reef and the stream would be directed more and off the wall type of thing.
