The Propagator Posted October 5, 2008 Share Posted October 5, 2008 Its completely dependent of the type of corals you are keeping at the time and how much of what element they are using up at the time. Two things you will wan to have on hand should you need to raise them though are alkalinity buffer and calcium buffer. NEVER dose anything you haven't tested for 1st though unless its a food source. Truth be told though in a pico you shouldn't have to dose anything. Most pico owners do water changes about 2-3 times a week on small scale.That will replace all elements being sucker up by the inhabitants in a tank that small. Link to comment
