bresk8r87
Heres my predicament: I have a 10 gallon fuge about 3 feet below my display tank. I have a HOB overflow and my return pump is 296gph, and with 3 feet of head, it's around 210gph. When i got everything hooked up and the water levels balanced themselves out, i noticed my display tank is about 2 inches lower than my fuge, which is full almost to the brim. I want it the other way around. My question is, what is causing this? I know it's probably a simple explanation, but im leading towards my return pump being too weak... I know the overflow only goes as fast as the pump can work, but is my return pump not strong enough? Link to comment
babyjess210
Depend on the level of your overflow box. The CPR overflow box have adjustment for the height which will lower the level on the sump and raise the level for the tank. HTH Kenny Link to comment
bresk8r87
figured it out... first baffle in my refugium was too high so it held the water level higher than i wanted it.. fixed it by shortening it. also, adjusted the overflow box and now everything works. thanks for the help Link to comment
